Educators
14 & Muslim serves as a tool to inspire conversations about Islamophobia and its effects on Muslim youth. The film seeks to generate empathy and respect among students across cultural and religious differences, shatter faith based stereo-types, and encourage interfaith friendships. The film can be used to build educator and student capacity in order to create a more inclusive learning environment in the schools. For inspiration please check out the results of our GTA Schools Initiative.
“14 & Muslim presents Muslim students as part of the Canadian fabric of society, "normalizing" Canadian Muslims - which is much needed. ”
- Qaiser Ahmad, Educator, Toronto District School Board & Co-chair, TDSB Islamic Heritage Month Planning Committee
